531B0099H21 – Installed on the oil-return line or tank vent of screw compressors and large hydraulic reservoirs to capture oil mist and water condensation. Through inertial impaction, Brownian diffusion, and coalescence, sub-micron droplets merge into larger drops that drain back to the sump, while clean air/gas exits to atmosphere or downstream equipment. Essential for maintaining oil balance, reducing oil carryover, and protecting downstream filters and heat exchangers.

531A0224H02 – A versatile hydraulic element for both industrial and mobile equipment. The selectable micron rating (1 µm for servo-valve protection, 100 µm for coarse suction/pre-filtration) and dual-layer steel skeleton let it be specified for pump-discharge protection, return-line filtration, compressor lube circulation, and bypass filtration. Typical hosts: injection molding machines, steel-mill hydraulic loops, power-plant turbine lube systems, and compressor oil circuits.

💡 Functional distinction: 531B0099H21 performs phase separation (liquid aerosol from gas); 531A0224H02 performs particulate filtration (solid contaminants from liquid oil). They are not interchangeable – H21 fits separator/tank-breather housings; H02 fits standard hydraulic filter heads.

Installation & Service

531B0099H21 (coalescer):

1. Shut down compressor/reservoir, isolate power, relieve pressure to 0 bar.

   
   

2. Drain oil from housing; place collector beneath before opening.

   
   

3. Withdraw spent element by center tube – never strike, drop, or pry.

   
   

4. Inspect housing interior, diffuser, and seal groove.

   
   

5. Seat new element – confirm flow direction and SOE/BH interface alignment. Renew all O-rings.

   
   

6. Close housing, torque bolts evenly. Ramp pressure up gradually.

   
   

7. Replace per 5000–8000 h schedule or when oil carryover exceeds 3 ppm.

   
   

531A0224H02 (pleated element):

1. Turn off equipment, close oil inlet valve, open drain port and vent.

   
   

2. Open upper cover, remove old element, clean all filter surfaces.

   
   

3. Install new element – confirm flow direction, renew seals.

   
   

4. Close cover, torque evenly, bleed air at bleed port.

   
   

5. Replace per clogging indicator or 2000–4000 h interval (depends on micron grade and contamination load).

   
   

⚠️ Filter elements are consumables. Avoid scratching, impact, or striking – never apply direct force to the element surface with tools. Normal flow direction is outside → inside; reverse filtration is not recommended.
