Hydraulic Oil Filter Elements – Models BEP-319-19 & BEP-319-39

Two high-performance replacement hydraulic oil filter elements engineered for return-line, suction-line, and low-pressure inline filtration on industrial hydraulic power units, mobile equipment, and stationary machinery. Both models are supplied as configurable cartridges – micron grade, media type, end-cap material, seal compound, and dimensional envelope are all selectable to match the host filter housing and fluid type. They share the same core architecture and differ primarily in their dimensional configuration; confirm the exact envelope against your existing element before ordering.

Application Guidance

These elements are deployed on:

Select micron grade by circuit position:

• 1–5 µm – servo and proportional valve protection

• 5–10 µm – high-pressure piston pumps

• 10–25 µm – vane/gear pumps and general return loops

• 25–100 µm – suction-line pre-filtration

Over 70 % of hydraulic system failures originate from fluid contamination. Matching the correct micron grade and β-ratio is the single most cost-effective maintenance decision.

Fluid Compatibility

• Mineral hydraulic oil (ISO HM, HV) – NBR seals

• Water-glycol (HFC) – NBR acceptable; FKM recommended

• Phosphate-ester (HFDR) – FKM seals mandatory

• Biodegradable esters (HEES, HETG) – FKM recommended

Installation & Service

1. Shut down equipment; relieve system pressure to 0 bar and isolate the filter housing.

2. Open the housing cover; withdraw the spent cartridge by its center tube.

3. Inspect housing interior, bypass spring (if fitted), and seal grooves. Check spent media for metal particles – copper/iron debris indicates pump or valve damage.

4. Seat the new element – confirm flow direction (Outside → Inside). Renew all O-rings.

5. Close the housing; torque bolts evenly. Bleed air at the bleed port.

6. Restart and gradually ramp up to working pressure.

7. Replace per clogging indicator or when ΔP reaches 0.35–0.5 MPa (0.8 MPa for high-pressure systems).

8. Glass-fiber and paper elements are disposable – never attempt to clean; only stainless steel mesh media can be washed and reused.

• System flow rate (element capacity should exceed system flow by 1.5–2×)
