Heavy-Duty Spin-On Lube & Hyd-Aux Filter – Models C-1302 & C-1304

Two large-bore spin-on cartridges from the same heavy-duty filter family, originally specified as full-flow lube-oil elements on mid-to-large rotary screw compressors and diesel engines. C-1302 serves the M90-class compressor frame (118 mm OD × 283 mm, 1¾-12 UNF thread, 98/110 mm gasket), while C-1304 steps up to the 150S-class frame (135 mm OD × 302 mm, M38×1.5 thread, 100/110 mm gasket). A glass-fiber 10–15 µm hydraulic-aux variant of each is optionally offered for compressor-lube loops, gearbox return, or PTO-hydraulic guard on the same chassis.

Application Guidance

C-1302 – Full-flow lube on M90-class rotary screw compressors and mid-size diesel engines used in industrial plants, workshops, and generator sets. The 1¾-12 UNF head and 283 mm length suit 500+ hour drain intervals under continuous load. Also deployable as hydraulic-aux (gearbox return, compressor-lube loop) in glass-fiber variant on the same skid.

C-1304 – Full-flow lube on 150S-class compressors (larger displacement, ~110 kW class) and heavy-duty diesels on mining/quarry equipment. The 135 mm OD × 302 mm canister and M38×1.5 large-bore head deliver extended dirt-holding — two per V-configuration typical on large compressor packages. Hyd-aux glass-fiber variant suits main return-guard or cooler-loop duty on the same power pack.

📎 Thread difference is critical: C-1302 = 1¾-12 UNF (98/110 gasket), C-1304 = M38×1.5 (100/110 gasket) — not head-interchangeable. Confirm your filter head thread and gasket face before ordering; the 150S head is a larger-diameter pad than M90.

Installation & Service

1. Clean filter head face; inspect center tube, threads, and gasket groove.

   
   

2. Lubricate gasket with clean oil, spin on by hand until seated + ¾ turn. No strap wrench on the canister — the large shell dents easily.

   
   

3. Pre-fill if head design allows; run unit to operating temperature and check for leaks at pressure.

   
   

4. For compressor lube duty: first change at 500 h, then every 2000 h or 6 months. For hyd-aux: replace when ΔP reaches 2.5 bar or per loop schedule.

   
   

5. Log hours — shorten interval in high-dust or high-moisture environments.
