Overhaul & Service Kit – Models SG1070A-55/LGFD-10.7/7, KS55A & LGFD-10.0/7

Three maintenance kits specified for 55 kW-class rotary screw compressors across closely related frames. SG1070A-55 / LGFD-10.7/7 and LGFD-10.0/7 share the same airend displacement family (10.0–10.7 m³/min @ 7 bar), differing mainly in control trim and cooler sizing, while KS55A is the 55 kW K-frame sibling with a shorter canopy and simplified valve train. All three kits consolidate wear-items for scheduled service — routine 2000-hour service through full airend overhaul — under a single part number each.

Kit Tiers

• Tier A – Routine (2000 h): Air filter cartridge, oil filter spin-on, oil separator cartridge, shaft seal minor kit, drain valve O-ring set

  
  

• Tier B – Intermediate (4000–6000 h): Tier A + inlet valve rebuild kit (spring, poppet, seat), thermostat cartridge; check valve O-rings; V-belt matched set (if belt-drive)

  
  

• Tier C – Major Overhaul (12000–16000 h): Tier B + airend bearing set (DE/NDE), rotor labyrinth seals, full gasket kit, coupling elastomer (direct-drive)

  
  

Technical Specifications

Application Guidance

SG1070A-55 / LGFD-10.7/7 – 55 kW unit with 10.7 m³/min output, typically specified for continuous-duty plants, pneumatic conveying, and multi-line production shops. The LGFD sub-tag denotes the fixed-speed, 7-bar variant with standard cooler.

KS55A – 55 kW K-frame, more compact canopy, common in workshops, auto repair bays, and light manufacturing where floor space is tight. Separator and air filter are slightly smaller vs. the LGFD frames.

LGFD-10.0/7 – 55 kW frame at 10.0 m³/min @ 7 bar — essentially the same airend detuned for slightly lower flow (or different pulley ratio / VSD trim). Service parts largely interchange with SG1070A-55 except for pulley/belt if gearing differs.

📎 Tier selection: Tier A every 2000 h / 6 months; Tier B every 4000–6000 h or when separator ΔP > 0.8 bar; Tier C at 12000–16000 h, or when airend discharge temp rises >10 °C above baseline, vibration increases, or oil carryover >5 ppm.

Installation Notes (Tier C / Airend)

1. Lock out electrics, depressurize receiver and oil circuit to 0 bar.

   
   

2. Drain warm oil; remove separator housing lid, lift old cartridge via center bolt, replace lid O-ring.

   
   

3. Swap air filter cartridge and spin-on oil filter (¾ turn hand-tight).

   
   

4. Airend overhaul: strip inlet bell, extract rotor, press out old bearings, fit new labyrinths (rotor-to-housing clearance 0.10–0.15 mm), torque bell bolts cross-pattern (45–60 N·m typical).

   
   

5. Refill to sight-glass midpoint with ISO VG 46 synthetic compressor oil; run 5 min, top up, recheck leaks.

   
   

6. Log service tier, hours, oil batch, and airend measurements.

Provide compressor serial number to confirm revision — SG1070A-55 and LGFD-10.x/7 share most parts, but pulley/belt count and separator lid gasket can vary by sub-revision.
