Hydraulic Oil Filter Elements – Models 32/901300 & 32/908100

Two in-line / tank-mounted hydraulic filter elements from the same 32/90-series family, covering return-line and auxiliary guard duties on mid-size excavators, wheel loaders, and industrial power units. 32/901300 is the larger canister (return-line main) with high dirt-holding capacity, while 32/908100 is the slimmer, finer-grade sibling positioned as a pilot / secondary stage or steering-return guard on the same chassis.

Application Guidance

32/901300 – Return-line or low-pressure pump-guard on 20–30 t class excavators and wheel loaders. The 280 mm length and 110 mm OD deliver generous dirt-holding for 2000-hour service intervals in construction-duty cycles. Typically tank-mounted or in-line between the return header and tank.

32/908100 – Pilot-loop, steering-return, or secondary guard on the same chassis family where servo valves demand finer protection. The 5–10 µm (β₅ ≥ 200) rating strips debris that causes stick-slip in proportional spools. Often paired with 32/901300 in dual-cartridge heads, or used standalone on pilot-only circuits.

⚠️ Confirm housing type before ordering: both are cartridges, not spin-ons — they seat into a reusable head/bowl. 32/901300 and 32/908100 share the same 32/90-series head pattern but differ in OD (110 vs. 90 mm) and length — they are not interchangeable in the same bowl position. Do not put 32/908100 in a main-return first position without a coarser pre-filter ahead; it will blind rapidly.

Installation & Service

1. Depressurize tank / return line to 0 bar; open housing, lift old element by the center tube.

   
   

2. Inspect housing interior, O-ring groove, and bypass spring (if housed in bowl).

   
   

3. Seat new element — confirm flow arrow (Inside → Out) matches housing marking.

   
   

4. For tank-mounted units: ensure the dip tube aligns with the element ID; a misaligned element draws unfiltered tank-bottom sludge.

   
   

5. Torque housing bolts evenly in cross pattern; do not over-compress the end-cap O-ring.

   
   

6. Bleed air at housing bleed port if fitted; check for leaks at operating pressure.

   
   

7. Replace 32/901300 per ~2000 h or when ΔP indicator signals 2.5 bar; replace 32/908100 per pilot-loop schedule (typically every second 901300 change) or when sluggish joystick response appears.
